How to increase response time

Hello,

I want to increase the response time between two router in the LAB. I want to simulate Satellite link for some applications. I want to increase the delay to have a ping time of 1000 miliseconds.

Hi,

You can get 3rd party latency introducers, have a look online, there are some free linux ones I believe and place these inbetween your routers.

FYI

My Satellite connection at home(because BT`s ADSL is completely useless at .7MB where I live but thats anothe story) has a delay of aprox 700-800ms, thats from the UK, to the Satellite and back again to an Italian land station then normally to a UK server and all the way back again.
