Hi All,

Which command can see the community name of a bgp route? "show ip bgp community" can just see routes have community attribute but can not see the community name? Is there any command can also see the community name?

Thank you!

Best Regards

Hello.

The community attribute can be seen by using "show ip bgp x.x.x/x".

Example-

======

route-views.oregon-ix.net>show ip bgp 3.0.0.0/8

BGP routing table entry for 3.0.0.0/8, version 41880288

Paths: (49 available, best #15, table Default-IP-Routing-Table)

Not advertised to any peer

3549 1239 80

208.51.134.254 from 208.51.134.254 (67.17.81.162)

Origin IGP, metric 0, localpref 100, valid, external

Community: 3549:2141 3549:30840

---snip---

========

Then if you wanted to see all routes with a particular community you could use "show ip bgp community aa:nn"

========

route-views.oregon-ix.net>show ip bgp community 3549:2141

BGP table version is 48334427, local router ID is 198.32.162.100

Status codes: s suppressed, d damped, h history, * valid, > best, i - internal,

S Stale

Origin codes: i - IGP, e - EGP, ? - incomplete
