Dear All
How to set up floating route between VPN and Metro-e ? Please see the diagram in attachment. Lan to Lan VPN connects two routers, R3 and R6.
At same time, Metro-e also connect R3 and R6. We want R2 and R7 can ping each other not through Internet VPN unless the Metro-e (R3-f0/0 to R6 f0/1) is down. So any expert can give some suggestion to do that ? If we replace the Internet connection with anther cable to connect the two sites, it is easy for us to use floating static route to do that. But now this VPN does not need static routing for R2 and R7 to reach each other. How can we use floating static route? How do you think about it ? Thank you.

Don't know what you mean.
The VPN is over different interfaces on the routers so you would need a route.
The easiest thing is to use a dynamic routing protocol over main link and have a floating static pointing via the VPN.
If the main link fails then you no longer receive routes and so you use the static.
If you use statics everywhere then you need to use IP SLA on the main link to know when it has gone down.
