HSRP Configuration

Hello,

I am reviewing a HSRP configuration that was done for one of our hosted systems. I keep finding differences between the two routers.

My questions are:

Do the configurations on the routers have to match to be able to fail over all functions?

If a configuration change is made on one router is it automatically copied to the second router or do we have to manually update the second router?

When using a IPSec tunnel, should the virtual IP be used as the endpoint or should the actual interface IP be used?

Thanks for your help.

There is no automatic configuration change but not everything in the config must match.

Test your redundancy and if it fails post config along with topo.
