Hi Experts,
I saw a question that said:
What are the things that i should take care before upgrading my IOS with a new version and what the IOS commands should i use to gather the information ?
A)The Rom memory.
b)Flash & Ram memory.
c)Show version.
d)show interfaces.
the answer is very simple it's B and C , but why they said Ram memory in option B answer ..
As i know that Ram not necessary to check it just we should check Flash Memory..
Is it correct ?

Flash is the file system, in other words, it will hold the file you download from Cisco - just like your hard drive.
RAM is what drives the IOS while the system is operating.
Those 2 components are vital when installing a new IOS. When downloading the IOS, those are the values presented to you to make a final decision if you are getting the correct IOS.
