IAD2431-FXS16 and VWIC-2MFT-T1

Our telco Nuvox currently installed the IAD2431-FXS16 because we have a Nortel with some FXO ports. We now have another PBX that has a T1 interface only. How to connect to the IAD2431. s adding the VWIC-2MFT-T1 with a new IOS sufficient? Can we still use the FXS ports? We like to have some for of failover between the FXS lines and the T1 going into the PBX.

VWIC-2MFT-T1 supports IAD2431-16FXS in the software version 12.3(4)XD.See the Software Compatibility from the URL
