Hi,

I have a SP that is requesting the following and I wanted to see if I can get your feedback.

Customer requested a 2 circuit T1 with Internet, as a new requirement the custemer requested to configure  tunnels for INTRANET communication and the recommendations are use a VPN tunnel via ipsec, as specified in the IAD2435 documents IPSEC VPN is capable, according to my interpretation of the specifications of the equipment to do this functionality is built-in in the IOS.

Is this a feature  the customer needs to buy?  or is it embedded?

with the new licensing model for ISR G2 the IPSEC VPN is available buying the additional license for security package SECK9

Actually, in the past an image with appropriate feature set was needed too and it required the payment of extra fee.

I'm sorry I didn't catch the model you were referring to.

Licensing should not apply to  IAD2435.

I think you will need to purchase advanced ip services image to support IPSec VPN (if supported).
