Interface not displaying when I upgraded my ISR4331.

Hello Pros,

Today I upgraded my ISR4331 Router to IOS Version: ISR4300-Universal k9.17.06.07.SPA.bin. The upgraded was successful.  There was no Serial interface S0/1/0, Which was connected to Secure Circuit before.

I used command: Show Ip int br.

                          Show interface.

Interface did not shown.  I revered back to previous IOS, reload and Interface S0/1/0 appeared/shown as normal.

any idea what I was missing? Is this a common issue/problem?  Has Cisco fix this problem.  Need your Expert advice.

Thanks in advanced.

Hello @Zee-Far-Man ,

with the old IOS XE version running check

show controller serial 0/1/0

and

show inventory

to understand the hardware module the serial port is part of.

Then in the release notes of the new IOS XE version ISR4300-Universal k9.17.06.07.SPA.bin you need to check for supported HW modules to see if that module is supported or not.

IF it is not supported it is a known issue and you should stay with the old version , if it is listed as supported you are likely hitting a SW bug on the new version.

Hope to help

Giuseppe
