Intervlan routing issue

vrg
Level 1
Level 1

I have one topology where there is one l2 sw an two l3 switch, all the sw has runnign vlan 10,20,30,50,100 and hsrp is created. I have one host with l2 switch in vlan 10 and

default gateway of l2 sw is hsrp gateway

of my management vlan which is vlan 100. all svi are created on both switches and

ip routing

command is issued for inter vlan routing. And OSPF is configured as well for all svi.

Now when i am trying to ping from one of device from my l2 switch ( which is in vlan 10) i am not able to ping any other svi except valn 10 svi on both l3 sw. However i can ping all the svi from my l2 sw. Also there another device connected with L3 switch it can ping all the other svi.

Can i get any suggest what wring is going on here.

can I see topology please

Capture.PNG

My SRV1 to entire switched network is pinging but when i try to ping any svi of any l3 switch from PC B it is not working however its working from ALS1

I think there is mismatch between the active router of HSRP group of VLANx and the SPT BLK port of same VLAN.

what I meaning is the Acc-SW to Core SW is STP BLK
can I see

show standby
show spanning tree

for both DLS2 and Acc-SW?

Here you go

as I guess,
you run L2 between two HSRP and run RSTP between ALS and DLS.
this all make your network not work.
what you need

1-
remove the trunk (L2) between two Core.
2-
config router-port between two Core.
router-port meaning (no switchport)
3-
run ospf between two core using router-port
4-
using STP mode PVST between ALS and DLS's

that it you netwrok will be stable and you can ping success

Sure i will do it and check. But what is the reason that my ALS1 can ping svi of DLS1 but not the device connected to ALS1.

check the SVI of ALS1 hsrp active router is it same as device connect to ALS1 ?

Issue is resolved now, every config was fine, i just rebooted the switches and it started working fine without any problem.

just make one

SW reload

and see if your network is stable or not
