I have an 877 router with ios 12.4 (15) which doesnt work with ADSL2+. Is it possible to get a firmware or ios update without a smartnet support contract?

Unfortunetely Cisco doesnt offer downloads for users who do not have a valid support contract associated with their account.

Best bet would be to see if someone can download the firmware version for you who has access.
