Hi - I would like to get info on the operation of IP classless in a VPN. We had a problem in a VPN where the router didn't choose the default route in the VRF (ip classless globally enabled). We had to config specific routes in the 10.0.0.0 range for the routing to work. It might well be a bug - 7500 running 12.0.30S5 code.
I would appreciate it if there is somebody out there that could shed light on the problem.
Thanks

Hi Henk,
Pls clarify whether the VPN was not taking the default route learning from another PE router via MP-BGP or it was a statically configured default route for a VPN in the PE router.
First one , we need to add default-information originate " under the ipv4 address family of the customer so that default route is redistributed to other PE routers
Second one , As you mentioned might be due to ios bug , sometimes a removal and add of route also solves the problem .

Hi Vanesh
Indeed the default route is in the vrf table, learned from another PE router.
Thanks
Henk
