Hello Experts ;

I need to keep the history of ip sla statistics for more 24 hours (as I see according to ip sla  configuration , the maximum number for keeping history is 25 h ) ,Our purpose is to set IP sla beteween two nodes that use MPLS as transport protocol , The aim of our SLA is to check that mpls backbone pass packets with mtu =1500 with dropping  , because our client claims that  sometimes their packets with mtu =1500 is dropped by mpls , So I decided to setup ip sla between two nodes (clients nodes)  to verify if the claims of our client are true but I'm struggled with limited amount of hours to keep history of our sla ,

I need some way to keep history more   2 days , or to notify me by snmp when sla failure occurs, I use parameters "request-data-size 1500" to set mtu packet size .

You can create a syslog alert whenever IP SLA failes by configuring a track

Here is an example to track ip sla 1 using track

track 1  ip sla 1 reachability

Also you an use an EEM if you want to take any action based on this alerts

Thank you

Raju
