Hi there,

to test routing behavior on GSN3, I deployed two routes, static and OSPF to the same destination on GSN3. When I shut down the outbound interface of the static route, the router removes the static route from the RIB and injects the OSPF route. Meanwhile I didn't get those interfaces equipped with any monitoring (IP SLA, track etc.) yet. Does Cisco Router have a mechanism for removing unreachable routes from the RIB?

if the router detect that egress interface (outlet) is down the router remove the static route dynamic.
