IPv4+ on the future?

Hi Community, its my first post on the web and i have question on the future network connection.

Is its possible implement IPv4+ on the devices (Routers) and what advantages would it have compared to IPv6?

Hello @LeKashmir ,

the draft has a single author and no vendor is behind him.

The draft has expired in Feb 2021.

After giving a look at the draft we can say that the IPv4 plus basic idea is somewhat similar to LISP.

I have found no RFC referring to this.

If a proposed standard does not reach the RFC status it is unlikely any router vendor will implement it.

The long term solution should be IPv6 but still now we use more IPv4 then IPv6.
