Hello All,

This is our network topology. Our Core Routers supports IPv6 but our access routers at clients end dont support ipv6. Now we are planning to implement IPv6 in our enviroment. We also want to run IPv6 Multicast in our enviroment. Now what solution you suggest to us ? 6to4 tunneling can solve this problem ? Can we run ipv6 multicast on 6to4 tunneling. Please advice .

Hi Waqas,

IPv6 tunneling is a significant feature because it is one of the principal mechanisms that allow for graceful migration from IPv4 to IPv6.

6to4 is usually deployed when you have multiple islands if IPv6 and want to connect them together using an IPv4 only backbone.

Here is a document explaining 6to4 tunneling
