Whether IS-IS graceful restart and IS-IS BFD can be enabled simultaneously in the N/W. If yes what are the Advantages and Disadvantages.

Hello,

as far as I recall, BFD and graceful restart cannot be used together. If BFD detects an interface failure, the interface cannot be used for traffic and the IS-IS adjacency is considered down. Graceful restart would still alllow traffic to flow through that interface, even though the adjacency is down. Which is not a good idea, since it can blackhole traffic...
