ISDN PRI and BRI Configuration

Hi,

I have a Cisco 2800 series router with E1 PRI module at Head Office,and Cisco 786 with single ISDN BRI port,When I dial from either side only one B channel is up ,means 64 K only.

Please help me to configure the Head Office router to dial outr to multiple branch routers.

Hello Venkataraman,

you need to instruct the routers to place additional calls to use more then one B channel in DDR scenarios

dialer load-threshold 1

if you place a low value here the second call is started as soon as the first call is setup

above configuration guide provides you all the information you need.

you should avoid to use legacy DDR, in order to serve multiple branch sites from central site you should use dialer pools to provide resources = B channels to one or more dialer interfaces
