Hi everyone,
Public domain name : https://momohib.domain.com
Public ip address : 80.172.XX.XX
The domain name redirect to an internal server in my LAN
private ip address : 192.168.XX.XX
I configure a DNS resolution in my cisco router to access the server locally in the LAN with the public domain name : ip host momohib.domain.com 192.168.XX.XX
But it's still go for the public ip address 80.172.XX.XX when i do a ping or a traceroute .
My architecture :
-BOX with a DNS---------Cisco Router---------Cisco Switch----------- Internal Server
|
|______________ PC
My configuration :
ip dhcp pool LAN
network 192.168.10.0 255.255.255.0
default-router 192.168.10.1
dns-server 192.168.10.1 192.168.1.1

Hello,
if you want the Cisco router to act as the DNS for the host resolution, you need to configure:
ip dns server
ip dns spoofing
