A few other things to understand.
1. What are the terms of your agreement with yhe MPLS provider?
a. Is all your bandwidth guaranteed, there is generally some sort of service plan for traffic volume.
2. Is there QOS involved ?
a. This relates to item 1 the questions would be are you marking the replication traffic with any QOS? and what is the provider doing or not doing with marked or unmarked traffic.
My own experience is that replication traffic runs better with a larger MTU. Is this something you and your provider can negotiate ?

Hi Vineller
1)What do y mean by "there is generally some sort of service plan for traffic volume"?
2)no qos involved
3)what do u mean by "My own experience is that replication traffic runs better with a larger MTU"

Carriers (at least in the US) provide different service levels for mpls customers. for example a carrier may only guarantee 50 percent of the bandwidth for your ef marked traffic. the res (in their mind 0 is elegible to be dropped.
Bigger frames generally provides better throughput. but it requires mtu adjustment along the path.

Hi
How to do the below test:
1) Do bi-directional ping and traceroute to see where congestion/latency occurs
2) can y explain this breifly,i didnt understand it:
"Bigger frames generally provides better throughput. but it requires mtu adjustment along the path"
