Load Balacing and failover using BGP or RIP ?

Hi all ,

I am new to Routing protocol and i have been asked to implement the Routing protocol .

We have three links 02 are E1 and one is satellite T1.

Basically i have to make the 02 E1 load balance and redundant and also if 02 E1 are failed T1 ( satellite) automatically be the route of the traffic.

So my question is how to implement this scenerio.

I have to load balance and make redundant the links ( see attached) diagram.

is RIP V2 is better or i have to use OSPF.

Please suggest.

Hello there,

You can use ripv2 if your network is not that big (over 15 hops).

I would use OSPF, which is much more powerfull protocol, and you never know when its time to grow.

For the configuration part, I would need more details about the actual configs that you have.
