local-as in BGP vrf Nexus7000

Anyone can explain local-as in following configuration in Nexus7000? or send me a link. Thank you

router bgp 2000

 router-id 10.10.10.10

 address-family ipv4 unicast

 vrf ABC

  locate-as 65001

  log-neighbor-changes

  address-family ipv4 unicast

  network 10.100.100.100/27 route-map ABCD

I'm not a Nexus person ... but local-as allows you to present a different AS number to the remote peer that what you really are.

So I would expect the above config to pretend to be AS65001 in VRF ABC, even though you are actually 2000.
