I am no expert but the foolproof way is to know and understand the subject.

There are no shortcuts and if you are looking for one then this probably isn't the place to ask.

The understanding part is the key because anyone can memorise things but that doesn't mean they understand how things work and how to apply that knowledge to new subjects.

I'm not saying it can't be done in your timescale but instead of that I would simply advise it takes as long as it takes you to fully master the topics.

There is another Cisco forum called the Cisco Learning Network (CLN) where they specialise in certifications so you may want to post there as well. They also have a lot of resources and study groups you can join to help with your studies.

Not trying to discourage you from using these forums because we always try to help and if you have more specific questions then please feel free to ask.

Hi Amit

Jon has provided some great advice already but here is mine also.

Getting the CCNA and CCNP R&S in three months is do-able if you can commit lots of time to it, personally I could never do it as I have a full time job.

My question would be, why are you trying to achieve these certifications? To learn? To get a new job?

If you are new to networking then getting a CCNP may not add much value to your career prospects initially as you are unlikely to get a job which requires that amount of knowledge straight away.

If I were you, I would try for the CCNA in three months (as this is realistic) and see how you get on. People vary hugely in how quickly they learn so three months could be optimistic for even the CCNA.

Although cerifications are useful, they are not the be all and end all. Having a certification shows you understand the theory but practicle experience counts for more in my opinion. I would rather hire a CCNA ceritifed person who has 6-12 months of entry level experience than somebody who has bashed out both cerifications but has zero experience in the field.

As Jon has said, there are no shortcuts if you want a career in networking. It comes down to hard work and practice, rushing through 5 exams in 3 months it not going to jump you into a networking career without any practical experience.

Hope that helps.

Hey Mate thnx a lot for your precise advice, I really appriciate this..!!

Now coming to the point & would like to answer few of your questions..??

1:Yes I'm looking for a knowledge & a Job in Networking sector thats the reason I wanna start my journey with CCNP (Though My target is 2 achieve CCIE)

Would like to bring your attentin & Would like to add 1 more point?

you might be or might be not aware that In india Companies does not give preferences to

(CCNA Certified Guys) Here companies look out atlest CCNP Certified Guys.

2:I'm not a full time employed person so if it requries, can devot time & I believe i can do it.

3: I'm focussing on clearing Only CCNP Exams (R+S+T.Shoot) not CCNA.

I Hope my above mentioned replies to your questions sounds more sensible & logical to you.

God bless you..
