Hi immartinez,
Once you give an internal loop from your modem towards your router you have to check your serial interface status and it should show you up and up and it should show you looped.
Then start pining your rouer serial interface and check for if any errors are incrementing or not.
This is the way you can perform loopback testing from your modem to you router.

Hi,
Do the following to do it.
(1)On the modem,give the loopback(analog/remote)
(2)Change the encapulation on the serial interface to "hdlc".
(3)Give "shut" and "no shut" command on serial interface.
(4)ping the serial interface ip address.
(5)check for the continuity.
This is how you these for the loopback.Inform me if the problem is solved or not.
