mallocfail error during NAT configuration

Good day everyone, I am hoping that someone would be able to assist us in the configuration of our router. We just purchased this router, we did the initial configuration with the help of some documents. And now, when we try to configure NAT for us to connect to the internet, we suddenly encountered this error:

Router(config-if)#ip nat inside

[ERROR] STILE CPR: cpr_linux_deactivate: calling API on non-init module

Would anybody be willing to assist us with this issue? It would greatly be appreciated.

You have not told us what model of router, what version of code that it is running, and how much memory it has, all of which would be helpful in diagnosing the issue. But the basic problem is clear - your router does not have sufficient memory available to run the combination of features that you are using. Note the several elements of the error messages that include not enough memory.

It is possible that there is some problem with the memory of the router. Or it is possible that the memory on the router is functional and that the version of code that you are running needs more memory than this router has.

Sir, thank you very much for looking at my issue. I am sorry that I wasn't able to provide some details. For the version of the current hardware that we have, here it is:

Cisco IOS Software, C1900 Software (C1900-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 15.4(3)M1, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
Technical Support: http://www.cisco.com/techsupport

Compiled Sat 25-Oct-14 01:02 by prod_rel_team

ROM: System Bootstrap, Version 15.0(1r)M16, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

Router uptime is 1 minute
System returned to ROM by power-on
System image file is "usbflash0:c1900-universalk9-mz.SPA.154-3.M1.bin"
Last reload type: Normal Reload
Last reload reason: power-on

You've mentioned about version of code, does NAT configuration script matters on which version IOS was?

I am not clear what you are asking about NAT. But I would think that NAT would be supported in every version of code that runs on 1900 routers.

It is difficult to detect what is causing the memory problem that you were experiencing. Is this router covered by a maintenance contract with Cisco? If so the best thing would be to open a case with Cisco TAC.

Thank you very much for your input, Sir. I will just contact with Cisco with regards to this. I don't know as well cause this is a brand new and there is no saved configuration yet.

Hi rken,

Did you find the cause??? because i have the same problem with my router 1905 and NAT/PAT.

Thanks for your answer.

Posting the output of show version from your router would be a good first step in trying to understand what is your issue.
