i am trying to access management interface of a layer 3 device using OSPF but getting some problem on that. Can any one help to resolve.

Please see the attached diagram, Here is the config of interest

R0:

Its a multilayer switch. Interface e0/0 is routed but interface e0/1 is trunk with R3

router ospf 100

network 11.1.1.0 0.0.0.255 area 0

network 11.1.2.1 0.0.0.0 area 0

network 11.1.2.2 0.0.0.0 area 0

R1:

e0/0 interface is routed while e0/1 is also a trunk with R2.

router ospf 100

network 11.1.1.0 0.0.0.255 area 0

network 11.1.2.3 0.0.0.0 area 0

network 11.1.2.4 0.0.0.0 are 0

R0 and R1 are connected with OSPF link using point to point.

on R1:

interface et0/0

no switchport

ip address 11.1.1.1 255.255.255.0

ip ospf network point-to-multipoint non-broadcast

!

n R0:

interface et0/0

no switchport

ip address 11.1.1.2 255.255.255.0

ip ospf network point-to-multipoint non-broadcast

!

This could be achieved using interVLAN configuration but I dont want to do that. Can any one help

Which Layer 3 device are you trying to access and from where? Your diagram shows 4 devices, but you have the configuration for only 2 of them here.

What is the source IP you are coming from, where is it connected to, and what is the destination IP you are goin to, and where is it connected?

Craig

Thanks for your reply

R1 to R2 is a trunk port and the same way R0 to R3 is a trunk port. I want to access from R1 loopback IP 11.1.2.4 to R3 Loopback IP 11.1.2.2.

Any help pls.
