Hi,
We planned to migrate our Metro point to point links into MPLS links among our branch offices.
- we have internet link in office 1 in metro and other states offices.
- some of our sites will have both MPLS & P2P(backup purpose), some of our sites have P2P alone and some of the sites have MPLS alone. Do we need to bring all these in a single cloud through either BGP or the combination of BGP and EIGRP ?
- For the places with MPLS and P2P, MPLS needs to be given priority over P2P. The traffic to be automatically routed through P2P in case of MPLS link failure.
- Other than LAN traffic, we also need to redistribute selected Static routes. We also need to put multiple default routes pointing to different firewalls based on the location.
I have uploaded the Simplified diagram. I have also explained the diagram and our current setup above.
- Site with Green Router have both MPLS and Point to Point
- Site with Orange Router have only Point to Point
- Site with Red router have only MPLS
- Black line denotes Point to Point Link
- Yellow line denotes MPLS Link
- Currently we have only point to point links which are configured through EIGRP with same AS number.
- We are going to use same router to terminate both MPLS and Point to Point.
