I did an mtrace and got "PIM Wrong interface [default]" on the last hop. I can't find any documentation on what this means or why it occurs. Anyone got info?
RTE3850#mtrace 165.199.4.21 10.82.210.53 234.5.5.188
Type escape sequence to abort.
Mtrace from 10.19.4.21 to 10.82.210.53 via group 234.5.5.188
From source (?) to destination (?)
Querying full reverse path... * switching to hop-by-hop:
0 10.82.210.53
-1 10.82.210.1 ==> 10.200.254.162 PIM [165.199.4.0/24]
-2 10.200.254.161 ==> 10.0.0.253 PIM Wrong interface [default]
-3 * * * 10.0.0.253

Hello,
I couldn't find anything on this message either. Can you reach the multicast destination at all ?

Yes I can reach the destination. Interesting I've used the same CLI command on several of my routers and it's "wrong interface" is a common response. All but one of my routers have dual (redundant paths) into the MAN. The only router I tested that didn't get this error does not have the redundant path.
