Doing a large multicast qos setup for a client using a video content server to push to remote sites. The question I have is about the QoS. I started to setup a QoS policy with that multicast stream address and realized that multicast is an egress technology so my QoS going back to the hub will do me no good correct? My intention now is to create an inbound QoS policy on the remote site prioritizing the multicast traffic and an outbound at the core. (since that is going outbound to remote sites).
Am I correct in my understanding or am I completely wrong?
Thanks

Yes with multicast, if the source of the stream is at the HQ and the receiver at the remote site and you need to prioritize the multicast stream you would need to use an outbound QOS policy at the HQ and potentially an inbound policy at the remote site.
