I am trying to find a way to aggregate 2 serial links that are being connected though an ATM cloud. So that the networks on both sides see them as one link.

Unfortunately, I could not open your drawing since I have an older version of Visio.
However, based on your requirements, there is one possible solution that you can use - Multilink PPP over ATM. That would result in the creation of a multilink interface which you can then treat as a single logical link.

Hi Jim,
I think I see what you are getting at... probably the best option for you is to configure a first-hop redundancy protocol like HSRP or better still, GLBP so that you don't have to go around changing the default gateway on your hosts when one of the links/routers fails.
