Nat Overload With ICMP Question

NAT Overload works when its translate the source ip to the "legal address" and also translate the source port to a unique source port.

ICMP dosent works with ports (as long as i know) how a network device can send icmp packets and recive them while paritcepating in nat overload.. ?

This is true,however ios natdoes create a session entry in the nat table marked as icmp it will probably indentify its session by this socket.

it lookes like this if you do a show ip nat translation.

icmp my.wan.adr.ess:512 192.168.200.11:512 213.132.182.100:512 213.132.182.100:512
