Only you who can answer this question..!! ï Because you are only who know your requirements
Select networking device can be variable based on lots of factors.
Basic factors
-What is the propose of this router? (Small office / Data Center / HQ / - ISP CE / PE / P)
-Which type of interfaces an how many..? (E1/T1, E3/T3, FE/GE, ATM/POS, VIC)
-How much traffic will path through
check out the Data sheet of the product you select (very helpful)

If you could provide some detail about your requirements we might be able to give better suggestions - especially what kind of WAN - is it simple point to point serial, is it Frame Relay, is it something else?
But with the information here I will suggest that a couple of 1800 routers with serial interfaces will support most of the typical WAN technologies.
