NM-16ESW-1GIG configuration

Hi

I have 3945 Router and I have bought NM-16ESW-1G1G card. After installed the card no interface  shows on show ip interface brief or Show run command . When i end the switch module then i have found the interface. previously i have worked on NM-16ESW card on my 3845 router where interface card interface shows in my show run and interface command and i have assign IP and crypto map fro my Branch.

So my question is NM-16ESW-1G1G is different then NM-16ESW card ? if not then why i can not find interface.

if Different then i have need to configure interfcae by enter the switch module seperately ?  Please assist with configure Guide.

do you have this: network module adapter card (SM-NM-ADPTR).

*Note:  Of the modules outlined in this datasheet, only the NM-16ESW can be  used in the Cisco 2911, 2921, 2951, 3925, 3945 routers. Support for the  NM-16ESW in the 2911, 2921, 2951, 3925, and 3945 will be via the network  module adapter card (SM-NM-ADPTR).

Cisco 3900 Series

NM-16ESW and NM-16ESW-1GIG only 15.0(1)M*, IP Base License

see if you have this (Minimum Supported Cisco IOS Release)

Hi Sandeep

my 3945 router has universal IOS and come with NM-16ESW-1GIG with the router. Required any network module adapter ? now I can access the switch card by access switch module seperately in router.

so if i cange the IOS then i can see the 15 interface in router ?

Hi,

If you have 3945E then,This module is not supported in the 3945E.

3945 supported NM-16ESW-1GIG.
