NX5K NX-OS Upgrade

Hello,

We have a couple of NX5Ks(5010s) with NX-OS 5.0(3)N2(1) and we need to upgrade them to the one of the higher releases. I did some research and found out that there are a number of releases after this outdated release(5.0(3)N2(1). There's a series of releases in the 5.1 train: 5.1(3)N2(1), 5.1(3)N2(1a), 5.1(3)N2(1b), 5.1(3)N2(1c). Also, there is several releases in the 5.2 train: 5.2(1)N1(1), 5.2(1)N1(1a), 5.2(1)N1(1b), 5.2(1)N1(2), 5.2(1)N1(2a).....etc.

My question is, do I need to sequentially upgrade from 5.0(3)N2(1) to 5.1(3)N2(1), 5.1(3)N2(1a), 5.1(3)N2(1b), 5.1(3)N2(1c) and then to the 5.2(1)N1(1), 5.2(1)N1(1a), 5.2(1)N1(1b), 5.2(1)N1(2), 5.2(1)N1(2a).....etc.  or can I leap-frog from the 5.0(3)N2(1) to release 5.1(3)N2(1) and then to 5.2(1)N1(9)?

Thanks in advance,

~zK

Hello, the way it looks to me you should be able to upgrade directly to 5.2(1)N1(9). Check the second note in Table 5. If unsure it would be wise to open a CCO case to verify.

Thanks for your reply. That's what I am thinking. According to the matrix, I should be able to upgrade directly to release 5.2(1)N1(9). Good advice. I will go ahead and contact CCO to make sure.

Thanks, ~zK
