OER controller, can it be on DMZ with Border Routers

Looking at OER/PFR and I am trying to determine if the Controller can be on the DMZ along with the Border routers? So much of the drawings and topologies are so vague and non-descript.

Yes it could.

It could also be on a border router.

It could also be somewhere else in your network, although not too far away (as it obtain stats from the border routers and injects routing changes on them).

PS:

My experience has been the controller function doesn't put much load on the router.  I've mainly run the controller on a border router but I've also had 7200s controlled by a 2811.
