hi,

When would you see the "e" Origin attributed routes in the BGP table?

Definitions states;

EGP (e)

Redistributed from EGP

Thanks in advance.

In today's networks, I would be very surprised if you saw any such routes at all. This designation is used for routers distributed from the EGP (Exterior Gatewawy Protocol), which was the predecessor to BGP.

Hope that helps - pls do rate the post if it does.
