OSPF metric overwrite

I have an OSPF area that traverses an MPLS. In the routing table on a router at one end routes are being advertised as 110/107. I need to be able to force this to be a specific metric, e.g. 10 because I need to load balance it with another link. Is this possible, or is it something that needs to be set within the MPLS?

Many thanks, J

Usually you peer with a Provider Edge or PE router and that's where your ospf network ends. The premise is thaat you are either receiving or advertising your routes into OSPF in this case. You can use many methods to do this. If you are receiving routes from the MLPS network, they should be able to set the metric on advertised routes to you.

HTH..

Thanks Chris, actually I can get round it by setting the ospf cost value on the ethernet interface of the CE (we have sham links).

Thanks again for your reply.
