Hello everyone,
i'm trying to make 3 router communicate with OSPF and i don't understand why one of my router (RN) isn't update properly and doesn't have all the network i want him to have (network 192.168.11.0 / 192.168.12.0 / 192.168.21.0 / 192.168.22.0)
I want to be able to ping from any lan the server and the laptop
Here is my code for the router :
router ospf 1
network 172.16.123.0 0.0.0.7 area 123
network 172.16.102.0 0.0.0.3 area 123
network 192.168.11.0 0.0.0.255 area 123
network 192.168.12.0 0.0.0.255 area 123
router ospf 1
network 172.16.123.0 0.0.0.7 area 123
network 172.16.102.0 0.0.0.3 area 123
network 192.168.21.0 0.0.0.255 area 123
network 192.168.22.0 0.0.0.255 area 123
router ospf 1
network 192.168.31.0 0.0.0.255 area 123
network 172.16.123.0 0.0.0.7 area 123I join my packetTracer File
Thank you

i can't run rip and ospf together? I thought ospf had priority over rip
My problem is that RN isn't update by the FR router and so the Fr Lan can't access to the server and i don't understand why it's like that while the RN server has the update from the NL router that has rip too
I found the mistake. I configured 2 sub-interface on each router (fr and nl) that was the same (g0/0.99) and when ospf update RN i had
00:00:45: %OSPF-5-ADJCHG: Process 1, Nbr 192.168.99.254 on GigabitEthernet0/1 from LOADING to FULL, Loading Done
for each router
And now that i disable that interface it works perfectly
Thank you everyone for your help

Hello @jeremydaix ,
if you can provide a network diagram it would be an aid not everyone runs packet tracer.
the three routers share a common IP subnet is this a LAN or you are using serial interfaces in NBMA?
Because OSPF is easy and immediate on LAN segments it is not so easy on serial interfaces with Frame Relay encapsulation.
Hope to help

Thank you for the reply.
Here is a capture of the network diagram from pkt.
I'm indeed using serial interface but i don't know if it's a NBMA (it's the first time that i heard that word)

Hello,
not sure if this has already been answered, but if you remove RIP from both routers, the FR router will get all the OSPF routes. Packet Tracer can be a bit quirky, so I am not sure that this is normal behavior, as usually, OSPF has a lower administrative distance (110) than RIP (120).
