OSPF path in a multi access enviroment

Hi,

I have 3 routers that each have one interface on the same VLAN, Rtr1 is DR, Rtr2 is BDR, and Rtr3 is DRother...

Doing 'sh ip route' on RtR3 shows 2 paths to network X.X.X.X behind Rtr1 and Rtr2 via Rtr1 and Rtr2. The problem is that packets from Rtr3 to network X.X.X.X always takes the path through Rtr2 (BDR. How can I manipulate Rtr3 to send packets to network X.X.X.X via Rtr1.

Armen,

If CEF is enabled then load-balancing will be done per flow by default. You can use the "sh ip cef exact-route x.x.x.x y.y.y.y", where x.x.x.x is the source and y.y.y.y is the destination addres, to vefiry which next hop will be used for any given flow.
