Dear all,
(1) backbone area
(2) single area
(3) multi area
(4) stub area
(5) totally stub area
(6) not so stub area
(7) totally not so stub area
(8) virtual link
I would like to ask why ospf can be set up by different type? ( e.g. why use multi area or stub area or even totally stub area ) What is the main purpose? is it mostly use in large ospf network so that it can reduce the size of routing table, reduce memory to obtain fast convergence.
Thx !
