Hi Guys,

I have IP Address 10.243.128.0/17 and it's install to OSPF database like this:

CORE-SW02# show ip ospf database 10.243.128.0 detail

What I want to ask is which one the best route the router will be install to routing table?

is it Type 7 or type 5 external?

Thanks.

William

Type 5 will override Type 7

Thanks, so based on theory it's must be choose Type-5 , right?
But, why the reality is router chose Type 7 to install on routing table? is it related to forward address ?

Because, in type 5 forward address is 0.0.0.0 but type 7 use forward address 10.254.251.38 (more spesific)
