Why does ospf not  store wildcard 172.16.30.4 0.0.0.7 area 0 instead it stores it as 172.16.30.0 0.0.0.7 area 0 in the running config

Hello

Because in the first instance your stating it as a host which is part of a network that’s why it’s changing it to the subnet address of that network range

Host

172.16.30.4 0.0.0.0

network

173.16.30.0 0.0.0.7
