I am replacing an existing 7009 with a 9500 series and ASR 1001-x. I am not able to establish the communication with the remote data center. It is currently more that two hops away because the DCI connection is still on the 7009.
As you can see the Overlay is up, I can ping and traceroute to the other data center, but OTV is not working across the overlay.
The extended vlans cannot go across the Overlay until the peering is established. I think I need to move the DCI circuit to the new edge router first to limit it to 1 hop across the circuit. AM I correct?
