output service-policy is not supported on asr1004 port-channel interface

Hello colleagues,

I'm trying output service policy on port-channel subinterface

policy-map CIR-5MB
class class-default
    police cir 5000000
     exceed-action transmit
     violate-action drop

router(config)#interface port-channel2.125

router(config-subif)#service-policy input CIR-5MB
router(config-subif)#service-policy output CIR-5MB
service-policy output CIR-5MB not supported on this target

So I can't to add output service policy and it seems like input service-policy doesn't work:

router#show policy-map interface

Port-channel2.125

  Service-policy input: CIR-5MB

Service policy CIR-5MB is in suspended mode

So the question is how it's possible to police traffic on port-channel subinterfaces?

It's not supported yet but it's planned.  Please contact your account team and

ask them to contact the ASR1k product managers.  They will then know you need it and can prioritize better upcoming features.

Hello

I found the same problem with ASR1002, policy-map are always in "suspended" state, so impossible to shape or police traffic.

Is there any IOS new version (currently running old 02.04.02.122-33.XND2) solving this issue ?

Thanks

Hello,

To activate the policy-map install the version

03.07.01.S.152-4.S

type this command:

port-channel load-balancing vlan-manual

then it should work.

Here is the doc:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios-xml/ios/qos_mqc/configuration/xe-3s/qos-eth-int.html

Hello,

Thanks for the command and link to the relevant document.

Is applying the global command or interface command disruptive to the port channels currently configured and in use on the switch?

Thanks in advance for your response.
