password recovery on 2600 doesn't work

Hi,

I'm trying to recover forgotten password on the 2600 router. I have been doing exactly as it written in the document however no luck.

this what i do

reboot into rommon > confreg 0X2142

reset

no on the promt

enable

copy startup-config running config

show running config

i have the folowwing at the end of the file

line con 0

exec-timeout 0 0

password xxx

login

transport input none

line aux 0

line vty 0 4

password xxx

login

conf t

enable secret test

no shutdown on each interface

config-register 0x2102

after restart i can't get into router

Please let me know what I'm doing wrong

You changed the enable password but did not change the console password.

Perform password recovery again and set the line console password as follows.

line con 0

pass
