Performance for 7600/6509

I  would like more information of performance to 7600 router with the  SP-720, someone has idea of how many sessions full bgp routing it  supports? I have 4 links 1 GB and a throughput of 900 MB.

Need  to get about 8 sessions full bgp routing (he owns memoria/processing  pra hold this? it has 1 GB of DRAM, this will be enough?). Or doubts is about availability, I can use which modules to gateway redundancy of chassis and L2/L3?

Sorry for my english! :-(

What model Sup do you have?

720-3B, 3C, 3C-XL, etc....?

WS-SUP720-3BXL and WS-SUP720-3B

I believe that in this environment, the models above are not so different. Am I right?

Hi Daniel,

The difference between the Sup720-3B and and Sup720-3B-XL is the number of routes supported in the routing table.

Sup7203B supports 256,000 IPv4 routes and 128,000 IPv6 routes

Sup7203B-XL supports 1000,000 IPv4 routes and 500,000 IPv6 routes

Here is a link to the datasheet:
