PFsense firewall boarder gateway and cisco core router

I want to use my firewall as an edge appliance and my cisco router and switch as the network core but i cant get more than one network to talk to the firewall at one time i know it has something to do with ospf or rip but i donot know enough about pfsense to configure it on the firewall side i know cisco IOS pretty well but i cant seem to get rip or ospf to work on either one the only way i can get all networks on the internet is throuhg using nat on the cisco router but then i cant do vpn or port fowarding how would i get a dynamic routing protocol to work?

you need to use FRR package in PFsense. https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/recipes/dynamic-routing-basics.html

I figured it out i needed to create a gateway first and then do all that stuff
