physical-layer sync command not supported

I have cisco 2509 router with 8 MB flash.

IOS is c2500-i-l.120-3.T.bin.I want to configure physical-layer sync on serial interface but it is not accepted.

can any one tell me which IOS is supported for this command (flash 8MB).

Help me....

Hi,

As I know the 2509 has 2 serial and 8 async interface. The physical-layer sync command is used on async/sync interfaces to select the sync mode. As you have only sync or async (no dual mode) interface the command is not applicable.
