Service provider will hand off 100Mbps circuit, SMF, 1300-nm.
If I get GBIC GLC-LH-SM, is this compatible with 100Mbps circuit?
If not, can you please recommend a GBIC that works for this.

Thanks for
giving the spec for 100Mbps SFP.
So it means I cannot hardset my switch port to 100Mbps and expect it to work with the GLC-LH-SM, right? I got conflicting information on this.

The GLC-LH-SM will negotiate only to 1Gb, Full Duplex and nothing else. You'll need to get a 100 mb SFP to plug into your 1Gb SFP port.
If you don't want to purchase the module, get the provider to open the link up to 1Gb but they can "shape" your speed to 100 mb.

Ding. I got it.
Hey, you suggested model GLC-GE-100FX, but I see that is for MMF.
For SMF it should be this, right?
GLC-FE-100LX= | 100BASE-FX SFP module for 100-MB ports, 1310 nm wavelength, 10 km over SMF2 |

Yup. That's correct.

But wait a minute.
The one I listed, GLC-GE-100EX, does not say "SPF module for Gigabit Ethernet ports".
Switch I am going to use is:
WS-C3750X-48T
Strange that I see at cisco.com that the only "transceiver model" for this switch is
GLC-GE-100FX. But again this one is for MMF.
Please confirm right model please. Because again this GLC-GE-100FX is for MMF and and I need it for SMF. Now I do not know...
GLC-GE-100FX= | 100BASE-FX SFP module for Gigabit Ethernet ports, 1310 nm wavelength, 2 km over MMF1 |
GLC-FE-100FX= | 100BASE-FX SFP module for 100-MB ports, 1310 nm wavelength, 2 km over MMF |
GLC-FE-100EX= | 100BASE-FX SFP module for 100-MB ports, 1310 nm wavelength, 40 km over SMF |
GLC-FE-100LX= | 100BASE-FX SFP module for 100-MB ports, 1310 nm wavelength, 10 km over SMF2 |

Your right. Ideally, you should be using the GLC-GE BUT since you've got the 3750X model, this is not supported. If this is the case then I'd recommend you get a pair of SMF media converters.
