Is there any functionality on NCS 5500 / ASR9k allowing me to trigger boot of a pluggable module? (In my specific use case I'm using SFP+ on an NCS 57C3 in a TF-port and one of my tunable optics is stuck on ITU-ch 40 and the interface will not show up at all.
I've seen this issue before and fixed it by pulling and reinserting the SFP+, but as the device is over an hour away from my nearest office, I'd really prefer to reset only the affected device.

hi,
to my knowledge, there's no command to reset the SFP in an NCS and ASR device.
you'll need to physically re-seat the SFP (pull it out/re-insert) and sometimes need to swap in case you've got a bad SFP or from a third party vendor.
best to always use a cisco genuine SFP to avoid interface/SFP from failing.

Thank you for your reply. I suspected as much but was worth a shot.
