i am using the below formula suggestes by cisco for calculating policing parameters like bc,be
CIR in bps
bc=(CIR)/8 * 1.5
be=bc*2
So the above formula we are following it for 1G interfaces
we are seeing the maximum allowed bc
bytes as below
<1000-512000000> Burst bytes
conform-action action when rate is less than conform burst
pir Peak Information Rate

CUrrently we plan to upgrade the 1g to 10g interfaces but we cant able to configure the Bc and Be values for a policing more than 2G on 10G interface due to restriction in the maximum bc bytes shown above
Any new calcualtion we have to make or any standard formula is there for configuring the 'X'G policing on the 10G interface
